Sometimes your browser keeps older copies of website files, such as images, scripts, and stylesheets, to make pages load faster. That is usually helpful, but it can also cause problems after a website has been updated, because the browser may continue using outdated files instead of downloading the latest ones. Clearing the cache forces the browser to fetch a fresh copy of the site, which often fixes issues such as pages not displaying properly, buttons not working as expected, or outdated information still appearing.
