Introduction

The PERT is a project management tool that provides a more accurate way of estimating the time it will take to complete a project. It does this by giving 3 types of estimates: your most optimistic, most likely, and most pessimistic estimates in the hours you think it will take to complete each task. This provides a new, as well as a risk factor associated with each task.

On the left side of the page is the proposal structure. You can select an item from this list by clicking the tickbox to its left. This allows you to record estimates for all labour performed on the project level and within each sub-assembly.

General

Field	Description	Notes
Pre Proposal (PERT Active)	Marks this proposal as a pre-proposal	While this is ticked, updates to the PERT Estimation Tool will be carried over to the proposal.
Is Internal	Marks this an internal proposal	This should only be ticked for proposals for your own company. These proposals/projects will not be displayed in WIP or revenue-based reports.
Requires BOM	Marks that this proposal will require a Bill of Materials
Proposal Status	The current status of the proposal.	Defaults to "New"
Project Group	The project group this proposal is a part of
Proposal Number	A number that uniquely identifies this proposal	This number is automatically generated by Integro and cannot be edited
Project Type	The type of this project	Project types can be set up in the Settings Section.
Title	The title of the proposal
Customer	The customer this PERT is for	To add a new customer, see Add a New Customer
Customer Contact	The customer contact for this proposal	If no customer contact currently exists, a + button on this field allows you to add a new customer contact.

Enquiry Received Date	The date of the initial request from the customer for this proposal
Proposal Due Date	The due date for when this proposal is to be completed and sent to the customer.
Proposal Sent Date	The date this proposal was last emailed to the customer.
Customer Delivery Date	The due date for the finished project

Key Personnel

Field	Description	Notes
Proposal Owner	The employee responsible for overseeing this proposal
Contact	The employee responsible for overseeing the listed process
PERT Completed	Employee name and date the PERT for the listed process was completed.
PERT Approved	Employee name and date the PERT for the listed process was approved.

Labour

The labour tab will show all labour for the selected item in the proposal structure tree. The labour grid consists of three main levels. The top level, represented by a dark blue colour, is the project process. The second level, represented by a lighter blue colour, is the proposal process. The third level and below are pert tasks. Each allows you to log your optimistic, likely, and pessimistic estimates for the labour. From this, we generate Pert Risk as well as Estimated Hours.

Risk Hours	The difference between Pessimistic and Most Likely
Est. Hrs	Estimated hours it will take to complete this labour	This field is calculated based on optimistic, most likely and pessimistic
Est. Days	Estimated hours formatted as days
Notes	Additional notes
Internal Assumptions	Assumptions that are only visible internally
Employee Level	The level of experience of employees performing this labour

Summary

This grid summarises PERT hours from the selected proposal structure item and its children. It contains the same columns as the Labour grid, but they are grouped and totalled by the following: Process group, Process, Proposal Root, Module, Station.

Station Qty	Number of duplicate Stations this record is in	This defaults to 1 if it does not belong to any station

This grid lists any assumptions that are made for this proposal.
