How to: Generate a Project from a Proposal

You can convert a proposal to a project by clicking the [Convert To Project] button on the toolbar on the proposal detail page.

In order to convert a proposal to a proposal the following conditions must be met:

1. The proposal must not be a "Pre-Proposal" (checkbox)
2. The "Approved By" field must have a value
3. The "Proposal Sent Date" field must have a value
4. The "Customer Delivery Date" field must have a value
5. The payment terms must total 100%

Once these conditions are validated a form will appear when you click the convert to project button.

"Project Leader", "Project Planned Finish", and "Sales Order Number" fields are required in this form. The remaining fields are optional at this stage.

Once you click [Convert] the new project will be created and will open.
