Payment Stages

Modified on Wed, 1 Apr at 8:12 PM

Payment Stages define the schedule of payments for the proposal. Each payment term specifies a percentage of the total value and a description of when payment is due (e.g., on order, on delivery, on commissioning).

Payment Stages Grid

This grid is accessed via the Payment Stages tab at the proposal level. It uses batch editing.

Summary Row

The grid footer shows the Total Percentage across all payment Stages. This should normally add up to 100%.

Adding Payment Stages

  1. Go to the Payment Stages tab.
  2. Click Add Row in the grid toolbar.
  3. Enter the Text (e.g., "On Order").
  4. Enter the Percentage (e.g., 30).
  5. Optionally link to a Sales Order.
  6. Add an optional Description.
  7. Repeat for additional payment milestones.
  8. Click Save.

Using Payment Plan Templates

Instead of manually entering payment Stages, you can apply a Payment Plan Template:

  1. On the Payment Stages tab, locate the template dropdown at the top of the grid.
  2. Select a pre-configured payment plan template from the list.
  3. The template’s Stages will be loaded into the grid, replacing any existing Stages.
  4. You can then modify individual Stages as needed.
  5. Click Save to confirm.

Templates are configured centrally and provide standardised payment schedules that can be applied to any proposal.

Reordering Payment Stages

Payment Stages can be reordered using drag and drop:

  1. Click and hold the drag handle on the left side of a row.
  2. Drag the row to its new position.
  3. Release to drop it in place.

Editing and Deleting

The grid uses batch editing:

  • Click any editable cell to modify it.
  • Delete rows by selecting them and pressing the delete key.
  • Click Save to confirm all changes, or Undo Changes to revert.

Note: Any payment Stages not linked to a sales order when the proposal is converted to a project will be linked to an automatically created sales order.
