Overview

The Bill of Materials (BoM) can be used to create two types of tasks: grouped production tasks and individual production tasks.

Grouped Production Tasks

A grouped production task is raised for more than one BoM line item. You would create this type of task if you wanted to add more than one BoM line item to the task.

Individual Production Task

An individual production task is raised for a single BoM line item. You would create this task if you wanted one specifically for a BoM line item. If made for an assembly, an individual production task can contain other BoM line items.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the Bill of Materials.
2. You can select the BoM items you want to assign to tasks.
3. If you want to create Individual Production Task(s), [Click Create] -> [Individual Production Tasks].
4. If you want to create a Grouped Production Task, [Click Create] -> [Grouped Production Tasks].
5. You will receive a notification link once the tasks have been created.
