Overview

Use this information when designing the bill of materials template for Electrical parts. The electrical department is assumed to prepare Device Tags based on the agreed machine layout and identification of machine partitions.

The naming reference system is based on IEC standard: IEC/EN81346-1

  1. The order in which the columns appear is critical.
  2. The first 11 fields (highlighted) are compulsory.
  3. If you want to include a higher number column, you must include all previous columns (they may be left blank if you wish)

Template

This page includes a sample template if you prefer to use a manual template rather than the one generated by your CAD software.
